> Donald Maley is Acting Dean of the College during 1973.

> Philo T. Pritzkau delivers the inaugural Vernon E. Anderson Lecture on May 4.

> There are 14 teacher education centers operating at this time in several Maryland counties and the District of Columbia.

> In response to the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970, the Industrial Education Department offers an undergraduate option in Occupational Safety.

> Over the course of two academic years, the College receives one third of a $1 million dollar grant from the Office of Education for its Maryland Internship Program, which provides field experience to teachers in training. (The program had been in existence for over 25 years).
