> Harold R.W. Benjamin serves on the Preparatory Commission for UNESCO (United Nations Educational, Scientific, and Cultural Organization) in London in May 1946. Henry Brechbill is appointed as Acting Dean in his absence.

> The Art Education curriculum is added.

> Harold R.W. Benjamin undergoes Air Force training course at Fort Benning, Ga., in preparation for deployment in Europe. In September, Benjamin is re-appointed as the Dean of the College.

> The Department of Industrial Education helps organize the annual School for Maryland Assessing Officers, held on campus on July 8-12.

> The College adds a master's degree program in Industrial Arts Education.

> The Nursery School and Home Economics curricula become two separate programs.
